Product Description
The PFNA Intramedullary Nail is an femur Interlocking Nail used to treat femoral fractures.
It uses intramedullary nail technology to perform surgery without opening the fracture site. PFNA interlocking nail has the advantages of simple operation, small trauma, quick recovery and so on, which is one of the main surgical methods for the treatment of femoral fracture.
Indications
Indications for short PFNA intramedullary nails
1. Transtrochanteric fracture (31-A1,31-A2)
2. Intertrochanteric fracture (31-A3),3.High subtrochanteric fracture.
Indications for long PFNA intramedullary nails
1. Low or extended subtrochanteric fracture
2. Ipilateral trochanteric fracture
3. Multiple fractures of proximal femur
4. Pathological fracture.
Characteristics
1. The 130° cervical trunk Angle design of the main nail conforms to the anatomical design of the femoral neck. The design of proximal abduction Angle of 5° is more consistent with Asian human anatomy, with insertion from the apex of the greater trochanter. The proximal external side of the main nail was cut to avoid irritation to the lateral femoris muscle, and the distal long groove was designed to effectively avoid stress fracture. The anterior arch arc design of the main nail is according with the physiological anatomy of the femur.
2. The lag screw can be blade or thread type. Anti-rotation design, prevent off nail, slip nail. Lag screws have asymmetrical grooves on its handles to resist the spinning screws and prevent sliding.
